Douglas Petrie and Marco Ramirez, the duo who served as show runners on the recent second season of Marvel and Netflix’s “Daredevil,” are officially set to take on that role for the upcoming “Marvel’s The Defenders” limited event series on the streaming giant.
At the same time, Drew Goddard has come on board the project as an executive producer. Goddard was involved in the development of the first season of “Daredevil”.
The fifth in Marvel’s five-series deal with Netflix, the series will bring together the lead heroes from the four previous series, including the already aired “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones” along with the upcoming “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist”. The group will face their biggest threat ever.
Unlike their individual series, which have had thirteen episode seasons, this will be a miniseries of only a few episodes – how many is unclear at this point.
