Paul Dano (“There Will Be Blood,” “Little Miss Sunshine”) and his real-life girlfriend Zoe Kazan (“It’s Complicated,” “The Savages”) are teaming on the indie comedy “He Loves Me” which Kazan wrote says The Los Angeles Times.
The story follows a young novelist who achieves success early in his career but begins to face struggles. In a bid to overcome writer’s block, he is told to write the woman he thinks will love him. He winds up willing her into existence.
“Little Miss Sunshine” quartet Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris will direct while Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa will produce. This would mark the first film Dayton and Faris have helmed since ‘Sunshine’, though they have been attached to various films in the interim. The pair and Kazan are currently tweaking the script.
