Daniel Radcliffe Plays Gay Poet Ginsberg

“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe had previously hinted that he’d be playing a gay character on film next year. Now it seems we know whom it’ll be – Beat poet Allen Ginsberg.

Twitch reports that once Radcliffe wraps up his commitments to the Broadway stage run of “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying”, he will join the cast of the John Krokidas-directed true story thriller “Kill Your Darlings”.

The story revolves around the relationship between Ginsberg, author Jack Kerouac and editor Lucien Carr. Carr served time for the 1944 murder of his lover David Kammerer in Riverside Park. Kerouac and William Burroughs were arrested as material witnesses.

Chris Evans, Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Whishaw were previously attached to play Kerouac, Ginsberg and Carr respectively two years ago. It’s unsure if Evans or Whishaw are still attached but it seems unlikely. Christine Vachon will produce.
