He was rumored and then he essentially denied it, but now it has been made clear – EW reports that James Bond actor Daniel Craig DOES have a cameo role in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” after all.
The site indicates that Craig makes an almost invisible cameo as a Stormtrooper. Filming on both “Spectre” and “Force Awakens” took place at Pinewood Studios around the same time and so it was literally a matter of Craig taking a brief break from Bond commitments to slip on a stormtrooper outfit and do a scene.
So which scene? The one in which Daisy Ridley’s character Rey has been captured and attempts to use a Jedi mind trick on a hapless guard. That guard is Craig who initially responds “I’ll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum”.
He joins a list of other celebs in the film including Simon Pegg, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Bill Hader. Also involved are composer Michael Giacchino who plays the stormtrooper who throws Poe Dameron down in front of Kylo Ren on Starkiller base, and unofficial Radiohead member Nigel Godrich as a random stormtrooper.
