Sony Pictures and Imagine Entertainment have announced an April start of production date for “Inferno,” the third film adaptation of a novel by “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels and Demons” author Dan Brown.
Tom Hanks reprises his role as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon in the Italian set tale in which Langdon awakens in a Florence hospital with amnesia. He teams with a doctor in an effort to recover his memories and prevent a madman from releasing a global plague connected to Dante’s Inferno.
Once again Ron Howard will direct and Brian Grazer will produce. David Koepp, who penned “Angels and Demons,” will also pen this adaptation which is currently targeting a December 18th 2015 theatrical release.
