Damon Talks Turning Informant

Shooting will finally begin April 15th on “The Informant,” director Steven Soderbergh’s tale of a whistleblower at a Fortune 500 company.

Matt Damon tells MTV News that the pair of them have been trying to make the film since 2003, but only now is it happening.

As a result of the schedule, Damon is unsure whether he’d be able to star in Paul Greengrass’s “Imperial Life in the Emerald City,” a movie that will take a critical look at the American reconstruction in Iraq.

In “Informant,” Damon plays Mark Whitacre – a former Division President with Archer Daniels Midland who turned FBI informant whilst simultaneously defrauding the company out of $9 million.
