Out in Cannes yesterday doing promotion for the upcoming “Ocean’s Thirteen,” actor Matt Damon revealed that he’s giving up one of his two big franchise films that have third entries this Summer.
“The ‘Bourne’ thing I’m definitely done with… we have ridden that horse as far as we can” said Damon to the international press.
He also jovially admitted he feels like “a bit of a prostitute for putting out two number threes in one year.”
He isn’t averse to someone else taking over the role – “The character lives on in the books and if someone else wanted to play it, I guess they could.”
He and the rest of the cast though said that while a fourth “Ocean’s” is unlikely (only the producers seemed keen), they are open to the possibility.
