L+E Pictures has scored the feature film rights to Shmu-el Segev’s novel “Alone in Damascus” reports Variety.
The story follows Israeli spy Eli Cohen, a Mossad agent from 1960 until his public execution in 1965. He built close ties with Syrian leaders, and almost rose to the rank of Syrian defense minister.
He supplied Israel with many details about Syrian politics and the military. Lior Geller has adapted the script while Eric Eisner will produce.
