“Star Wars” star Daisy Ridley has signed on to “Daddio,” a new drama set mostly within the confines of a cab.
Christy Hall penned the script, which follows a woman who is picked up by a cab at JFK airport and driven to her apartment in Manhattan.
On the way there, the woman and cabdriver begin discussing their past and current relationships and the effects those relationships have had on their lives.
Ridley could shoot “Daddio” before starting prep on J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode IX” which begins production in June next year.
She is currently in the midst of filming Doug Liman’s “Chaos Walking” which just scored Oscar Jaenada (“The Shallows”) to join its cast as an untrustworthy drifter.
