Dahan To Helm “Grace of Monaco”

French helmer Olivier Dahan (“La Vie En Rose”) has signed on to direct “Grace Of Monaco”, a $15 million Grace Kelly biopic at Stone Angel says Deadline.

Arash Amel penned the Black List-making script which covers a six month timespan in 1962 when French leader Charles De Gaulle and Monaco’s Prince Rainier III were arguing over Monaco’s standing as a tax haven.

The then 33-year-old Kelly, who had given up her acting career to become Rainier’s wife by this point, politically maneuvered her way behind-the-scenes to save Monaco.

Pierre-Ange Le Pogam is producing and a search is underway to find the right young actress to play the Hollywood star who became a princess.
