Dafoe, Skarsgard Join Gilliam’s “Don Quixote”

Willem Dafoe and Stellan Skarsgard have apparently joined the cast of Terry Gilliam’s long gestating “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” project which now stars Adam Driver and Michael Palin in the lead roles.

The story centers on an arrogant publicist, who returns to the village where he shot his student film adaptation of “Don Quixote,” only to discover the terrible effect his project had on the town, leading to an unlikely adventure.

The casting comes from a listing on the website of production company Entre Chien & Loup which was discovered by Den of Geek. At last report the film is aiming to go into production this Fall ahead of a premiere on Netflix sometime in 2017.
