Newcomer Ray Fisher’s Cyborg character is set to appear in the upcoming “The Flash” film at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Comics. It’s currently not clear how substantial a role the hero will play in the film.
Cyborg’s appearance follows on from a brief cameo in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” and a key role in next year’s “Justice League”.
Incorporating him into “The Flash” allows for development of the character and a potential gauge, along with ‘League,’ as to whether there’s enough audience interest for the potential “Cyborg” standalone film which is currently slated for a 2020 release.
In the comics, Victor Stone is a man transformed in a science experiment into a half-man, half-machine hero. His metallic prosthetic limbs give him super strength and other enhanced abilities.
Ezra Miller stars in “The Flash” which will be helmed by Rick Famuyiwa. Shooting begins later this year in London ahead of a 2018 release.
