The CW has renewed its on the bubble series “iZombie” for a fifth season just as the show is currently in the midst of its fourth season.
While the renewal was good news, it was tinged with disappointment as the network has passed on the proposed “Supernatural” spin-off “Wayward Sisters”.
“Supernatural” remains the network’s second-highest rated program with one of the largest fanbases on the internet, and while the spin-off may be canned, the characters like Sheriff Jody Mills are expected to recur as guest stars on the next season.
The CW has picked up to series “The Vampire Diaries” spin-off “Legacies,” along with the “Charmed” and “Roswell” reboots.
