Cuaron Could Return To Harry Potter?

Of all the “Harry Potter” films, the third one “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” arguably remains the favorite of many. That film’s director, Alfonso Cuaron, has since gone on to even greater things including the recent megahit “Gravity”.

Years ago, Cuaron was originally offered the fourth Potter film “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” to direct, but ultimately declined. Cuaron didn’t come back for any of the further sequels, and so with that franchise over it looked like that was that.

Now, Cuaron has revealed that he might be open to return to the series to direct the upcoming “Harry Potter” spin-off/prequel “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” currently in the works. He tells Vulture:

“‘Azkaban’ was fun to make, and when I did it, I was invited to do the next one, but I didn’t want to overstay the welcome, because it was such an experience. But now? Why not? I do have stuff that I want to do [next], but a JK thing… They haven’t called me yet! They haven’t decided to invite me! Looking forward! At least to see it, because nobody’s invited me”
