Connor Cruise, the 13-year-old adopted son of Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman, will have a minor non-speaking part in Sony’s upcoming Will Smith drama “Seven Pounds”.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Connor Cruise shot his part over two days more than a month ago, playing Smith as a young man and mostly shown in photographs.
Smith and the senior Cruise were notably spotted hanging out together in 2007, assumptions quickly rising that Cruise was trying to ‘recruit’ Smith into the Church of Scientology. Smith has since revealed he has studied Scientology’s teachings, but doesn’t “necessarily believe in organized religion.”
The drama, directed by Gabriele Muccino (“The Pursuit of Happyness”), follows the story of a man who affects the lives of seven strangers. Rosario Dawson also stars.
