“Black Swan” director Darren Aronofsky is reportedly pursuing Russell Crowe to play the title role in his epic “Noah” for New Regency/Paramount says Deadline.

An adaptation of the Noah’s Ark tale, Aronofsky is also said to be after Liam Neeson for another role in the project.

“Gladiator” scribe John Logan recently rewrote the script by Aronofsky and Ari Handel. Aronofsky, Mary Parent and Scott Franklin are producing.
