Cross Adapts “If I Stay” For Hardwicke

Shaunna Cross (“Whip It!”) has been set to adapt Gayle Foreman’s novel “If I Stay” says Variety.

The story centers on the odd-couple pairing of a prodigal classical musician and her indie rock star boyfriend, who is faced with some tough decisions after his girlfriend is in a car accident with her family.

The project is Catherine Hardwicke’s first post-“Twilight” feature thoug no production schedule is yet set.
