One element of the upcoming “Creed” sequel that has remained very quiet is Romanian boxer and actor Florian Munteanu’s Viktor Drago, the opponent that Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed has to ultimately fight in the ring.
Jordan may be ripped as hell, but the 6’0/182cm tall and 190lbs/86kg heavy “Black Panther” star is positively dwarfed by the 6’4/193cm tall and 245lbs/111kg Munteanu in the film as you can see in a new featurette focusing on the Viktor character.
Interestingly Jordan’s 11cm shorter stature is exactly the same height differential as the actors who played their fathers Carl Weathers and Dolph Lundgren who stand at 185 cm and 196cm respectively. With the film serving as both a follow-up to “Creed” and “Rocky IV” in many ways, it makes for a fitting match.
Jordan is joined by Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Russell Hornsby, Florian “Big Nasty” Munteanu, Andre Ward and Phylicia Rashad in the film which hails from director Steven Caple Jr. and opens in cinemas November 21st.
