“Creed” actress Tessa Thompson seems ready to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as she has joined the cast of Taika Waiti’s “Thor: Ragnarok”.
Chris Hemsworth is back as the Norse God in the superhero sequel alongside Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk along with Cate Blanchett in an unknown role which is tipped to be the villain Hera.
Thompson is said to be playing a “kind of superhero” and could appear in other Marvel films as well. She’ll also be the female lead with Natalie Portman confirmed to not be returning for the new film. Stephany Folsom recently polished the script for the film which opens November next year.
Thompson is currently filming a female lead role in the HBO drama series “Westworld” and will also star in Alex Garland’s “Annihilation”.
