Director Craig Lucas (“The Dying Gaul,” “Prelude to a Kiss”) and screenwriter Elyse Friedman (“Suddenly Naked:) have signed on to the comedy “Laws of Motion” says The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie centers on an uptight professor (Matthew Perry) struggling with a repressive career and community, as well as headaches caused by his free-spirited brother (Justin Long) and sister.
Hilary Swank will take on a supporting role as the perfectionist neighbor of Perry’s character. Lucas remains attached to the Timothy Leary biopic for Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company.
Shooting begins on “Motion” in July with a Fall 2008 release planned through GreeneStreet Films International.
