Crackle Plans A “Snatch” TV Series

Crackle has ordered a ten-episode, one-hour drama series based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 heist film “Snatch”.

Said to be in the vein of FX’s “Fargo,” the series intends to continue the spirit and setting of the original film, but at the same time “create a new world”.

The first season is inspired by a real-life heist in London and follows a group of twenty-something, up-and-coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime.

The hoods must quickly learn to navigate London’s underworld in encounters with rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend. No air date has yet been set.

Benicio Del Toro, Brad Pitt, Vinnie Jones, Dennis Farina, Jason Flemyng and Jason Statham starred in the original film.
