Belle Pictures and Alcon Entertainment are developing an adaptation of football coach Barry Switzer’s memoir “The Bootlegger’s Boy”.
Switzer spent years coaching at Oklahoma University and the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and has one of the highest winning percentages of any college football coach in history.
Patrick Massett and John Zinmann (“Lara Croft: Tomb Raider”, “Friday Night Lights”) are in negotiations to pen the adaptation. Molly Smith (“P.S. I Love You,” “The Blind Side”) along with Thad and Trent Luckinbill are producing.
