It’s interesting to think that whilst Kevin Costner has been in a bunch of films, not one of them has been a sequel.
That may change however as according to an interview with Entertainment Weekly, his upcoming serial killer thriller “Mr. Brooks” is designed with that in mind.
Costner says he was sceptical at first – “When the writers first presented the notion to me, I said, ‘Oh, bulls—! I haven’t done Tin Cup 2, or Bull Durham 2, or Open Range: The Early Years, so you don’t have to try to hook me with that”.
Yet he got hooked – “When they told me their idea, the hair on the back of my neck stood up. We’re hoping this little movie develops a following so we can play this story out the way it should” says Costner.
Demi Moore, William Hurt and do-able comedian Dane Cook all star in the film which opens June 1st.
