Ericson Core (“Invincible”) is set to direct “Dance the Green”, an indie biopic of golf legend Moe Norman, for Belltower Films says Variety.
Born during the Depression in Ontario, Canada, Norman was injured in a sledding accident that turned him into a loner whose repetitive phrases and nervous laughter was off-putting.
The repetitive behavior proved to be an asset when he developed an unorthodox short golf swing that enabled him to place the ball with uncanny accuracy.
Barry Morrow (“Rain Man”) wrote the script while Nina Yang, Claire Kupchak and Morrow will produce. Filming will kick off next spring.
