After months of speculation and rumors, Marvel Studios finally confirmed this week that “Creed” director Ryan Coogler will helm their upcoming “Black Panther” film.
Now, speaking with HeyUGuys, the director finally was able to discuss the project and couldn’t contain his enthusiasm. He also said he will “absolutely” approach the film in the same “personal and intimate” manner as he did with “Creed”:
“I’m excited. I grew very into pop culture, very into comic books, so it’s something that is just as personal to me as the last couple of films I was able to make. I feel really fortunate to be able to work on something I’m this passionate about again.”
Coogler has already started work on the project even though the film itself isn’t shooting for many months yet and the film itself won’t hit until early 2018.
