Frances Conroy, Will Patton and Taryn Manning have joined Katherine Brooks’ psychological thriller “Waking Madison” says The Hollywood Reporter.
“Madison” tells the story of a woman (Sarah Roemer) who, after trying all traditional means to cure her mental illness, locks herself in her apartment for 30 days with no food, telephone or outside stimuli.
Conroy will play Dolly, Madison’s mother and a religious zealot who has her own mental-health issues. Patton plays Madison’s loving but emotionally absent father.
Manning plays Margaret, a fellow patient with sociopathic tendencies who resides at the psychiatric hospital with Madison.
Elisabeth Shue also stars. Shooting is set to begin today in New Orleans.
