Warner Bros. Pictures has announced an October 23rd 2015 release date for the currently untitled “The Conjuring” sequel.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are now confirmed to be returning for the supernatural thriller which Carey and Chad Hayes are returning to write.
No director is yet attached, though the first film’s helmer James Wan is expected to return in some capacity on the project.
This is not to be confused with “Annabelle,” the upcoming spin-off film based on the haunted doll seen in the first film. That project is currently filming and will get a release this October.
The first film was shot for $20 million and went on to massive success, pulling in $320 million at the worldwide box-office.
