Comedy Sketch Has Weaver Back As Ripley

Sigourney Weaver suited up as Ellen Ripley from “Aliens” in a comedy skit over the weekend for Samantha Bee’s “Not the White House Correspondents” Dinner TBS special.

The pre-recorded sketch is based on the political divide in the United States having made living on earth insufferable which brings Bee to space, dishevelled and clutching a Donald Trump doll and not willing to come back to Earth to cover the 2020 election.

Sigourney Weaver’s Ellen Ripley, in a spin on the ‘finding Newt’ scene from the 1986 film, comes to the rescue with her crew. Katie Couric, Ali Velshi, and Rebecca Traister and more also star in the sketch for the special which ripped into both President Trump and the far too many Democratic party candidates on the ballot.

Weaver surprised the high school cast of “Alien: The Play” last week, personally congratulating them on the show and spoke with the students and staff.
