“Come From Away” Musical To Be Adapted

The Mark Gordon Company has announced that they will produce and finance a feature film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical “Come From Away”. Two-time Tony Award nominees and Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama Desk Award winners.

The remarkable true story set on the day after 9/11 follows 7000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night.

Irene Sankoff and David Hein, who wrote the book, music and lyrics, will also adapt the feature screenplay. Mark Gordon will produce. MGC will finance the film and Entertainment One will handle worldwide distribution.
