“Road to Perdition” creator Max Allan Collins has been tapped to write and direct two sequels to Sam Mendes’ 2002 film adaptation of his work reports Cinematical.
The first sequel, “Road to Purgatory”, will follow an older version of Michael Sullivan, Jr. who has returned from World War II with a new determination to avenge his murdered father (Tom Hanks).
His quest ultimately leads him to Frank Nitti, whom he is urged to kill on the orders of Al Capone. A second sequel, entitled “Road to Paradise”, will follow Sullivan’s continued plight.
JBM Productions and EMO Films will produce the features.
