Colin Farrell Has “Borrowed” A New Role

Colin Farrell is in talks to play Marcus in the upcoming romantic comedy “Something Borrowed” for Warner Bros. Pictures says Production Weekly.

Based on Emily Giffin’s 2005 debut novel of the same name, the story centers on a single Manhattan attorney (Ginnifer Goodwin). This consummate good-girl gets drunk on her 30th birthday and ends up sleeping with Dexter (Colin Egglesfield), the fiance of her selfish best friend Darcy (Kate Hudson).

As the mistake blossoms into a full-blown affair, she must decide between her life-long friend and the man of her dreams.

Farrell’s role of Marcus is Dex’s best friend. John Krasinski also stars as the girl’s grade-school confidant Ethan.

It’s expected the casting will include the potential sequel based on Giffin’s second novel “Something Blue”. Shooting kicks off in The Hamptons later this month.
