They are not only the two big military-themed multiplayer shooters hitting this Fall but also the next entries in the two biggest game franchises on the planet – “Battlefield” and “Call of Duty”.
In terms of anticipation though, the differences couldn’t be more stark with “Battlefield 1” and its WW1 setting keenly anticipated by many gamers while the space-themed “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” continues to come under fire.
Today both franchises have launched new trailers as well. Activision and Infinity Ward have revealed an in-game cinematic for “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” featuring with Brian Bloom’s Lieutenant Reyes character getting a promotion to captain. At the same time, DICE has revealed gameplay featurette that explores some of the weapons options in “Battlefield 1”.
