Disney & Pixar’s “Coco” is set to easily beat “Justice League” at the Thanksgiving holiday box office according to Thursday morning estimates.
“Coco” scored an opening Wednesday of $13.2 million and is performing significantly above pre-release forecasts along with nabbing strong reviews and an A+ CinemaScore. It’s on track to finish above $70 million in its first five day run.
“Justice League” earned $10.5 million on Wednesday and looks set to score around $60 million for its sophomore run. That would bring it to a grand total of $170 million by the end of the weekend.
The family drama “Wonder” continues to go strong and looks likely to nab $43.2 million for the extended weekend. “Thor: Ragnarok” will come in fourth and should score a further $20 million.
