Clowes Adapts “Wilson” For Payne

“Ghost World” author Daniel Clowes will adapt his own novel “Wilson” for a film at Fox Searchlight reports Deadline

The story follows an opinionated middle-aged loner who only loves his dog and so tries to find an emotional connection with his ex-wife.

The project is being designed as a potential directing vehicle for Alexander Payne (“About Schmidt”). Payne’s Ad Hominem and Sam Raimi’s Stars Road companies will produce.
