“Vikings” star Clive Standen has been cast in the lead role of Bryan Mills in NBC’s TV series version of the action franchise “Taken”.
This will explore the early life of the CIA character played by Liam Neeson in the three films which have grossed over $929 million worldwide. It’s not a straight prequel though, more a reboot ala “Bates Motel” with the action to be set in the present day.
Alexander Carry (“Homeland”) is set to write the script and Alex Graves (“Game of Thrones”) will helm the pilot episode. Carry will executive produce alongside the film trilogy’s writer and producer Luc Besson.
