Clash’s “London Calling” Gets Adapted

Scribe Jez Butterworth (“Fair Game,” “The Last Legion”) is teaming with The Clash bandmembers Mick Jones and Paul Simonon for a film about the making of the band’s famed 1979 album “London Calling” reports Screen Daily.

The story will follow how unconventional producer/manager Guy Stevens steered the English punk rock band to fame with their hit 1979 album which is now considered one of the greatest of all time.

Butterworth, Alison Owen and Paul Trijbits will produce the feature with shooting to kick off next year.
