Claflin Gleeson Join Peaky Blinders S5

Sam Claflin (“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”) and Brian Gleeson (“Phantom Thread”) will join Anya Taylor-Joy (“Split”) as guest stars in the fifth season of Steven Knight’s period crime saga “Peaky Blinders” for The BBC.

In addition, Elliot Cowan, Neil Maskell, Kate Dickie, Cosmo Jarvis, Emmett J Scanlan, Charlene McKenna, Andrew Koji and Daryl McCormack are also joining the cast for this season.

Season five finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. When Tommy Shelby MP (Charlie Murphy) is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realizes that his response will affect not just his family’s future but that of the entire nation.

Returnees Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Aidan Gillen, Finn Cole and more are currently filming the new episodes which are expected to air in 2019.

In the past, the series has sported several notable recurring roles for name actors including Tom Hardy, Adrien Brody, Charlotte Riley, Paddy Considine, Noah Taylor and Alexander Siddig.
