Civil War Scores $25M In Thursday Previews

Disney and Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” kicked off the U.S. summer movie going season last night at the U.S. box-office with Thursday late-night previews earning a massive $25 million.

In comparison to previous Marvel films, that’s a lot more than “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” which took in $10.2 million and ultimately earned $714.4 million worldwide, but just behind last year’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” which opened to $27.6 million in previews ahead of earning $1.4 billion worldwide.

‘Civil War’ has already earned $291.2 million overseas after kicking off its rollout last weekend.
