As photos from the set of “Captain America: Civil War” have slowed to none this week with production having likely moved onto the sound stages at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, a new rumor has surfaced over at MCU Exchange which deals with one of the surprise returnees for the upcoming film.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD
Last month came word that not only is Paul Rudd showing up in his “Ant-Man” garb in the film, but William Hurt would be reprising his role from 2008’s “The Incredible Hulk” as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.
Now, the new report suggests that we will see General Ross transform into the Red Hulk in the movie, and he will engage in a battle with the current Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in a fight scene that is said to be akin to the recent Hulk vs. Iron Man Hulkbuster scene from “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.
Mark Ruffalo has NOT been mentioned in regards to the film’s cast, though the actor has vaguely teased a potential return for “Captain America: Civil War”.
