Civil War Rakes In Over $200M Overseas

Disney and Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: Civil War” went like gangbusters in its overseas launch, pulling in a massive $200.2 million at the foreign box office – one of the biggest starts of all time and coming very close to the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” overseas launch last year.

Reviews have ben very strong so far and at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes is the best-reviewed Marvel film to date.

In the United States at the box-office, Disney’s “Jungle Book” remains the king as it has grossed a further $42.4 million in its third weekend and crushed newcomers like Key & Peele’s comedy “Keanu” in second with $9.4 million, ensemble comedy “Mother’s Day” in fourth with $8.3 million, and the animated “Ratchet & Clank” movie in seventh with $4.8 million.
