With “Captain America: Civil War” having wrapped production, the film’s stars are now out doing other projects or events such as this week’s Toronto Film Festival where actor Sebastian Stan turned up to walk the red carpet.
We Got This Covered was on hand at the event and spoke with Stan about his return as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in this third film in the series. Turns out the fight sequences in the new film will be more intense than all the other Marvel films to date (but likely not “Daredevil”):
“[There’s] some brutal fighting, some serious, serious fighting like you haven’t really seen before in any of the other films. Which I’m really proud to say. And a whole lot of character and heart, because there’s a lot of people that are in the film, but you’re going to get a lot of character from everybody.”
Stan already spoke about speculation that Bucky eventually becomes the new Captain America like in the famous comic storyline:
“I think about that every day. It’s so not up to me, and to be honest I really enjoy my job over there, I’m really happy going to work and doing what I do. I love the character that I have. It’s up to a lot of different things, and whatever Marvel decides, I’m game.”
“Captain America: Civil War” is slated for release in May next year.
