Cinemax’s “Outcast” Axed After Two Seasons

Cinemaxs Outcast Axed After Two Seasons

One week after its second season finale, Cinemax has decided to cancel its horror drama series “Outcast” which is based on the ongoing comic which hails from “The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman.

The exorcism drama was developed for TV before the comic book series launched and was in high demand ahead of its June 2016 debut. However both reviews and ratings were weak, and with a two-year gap between season airings, the series boasted terrible numbers with 108,000 Live+Same viewers turning into last week’s second season finale.

The other complication? The series was produced by Fox International Studios which no longer exists with both that company’s former head and Kirkman now setup at Amazon. Chris Black served as showrunner and executive produced alongside David Alpert, Yguado and Sue Naegle.
