Yesterday came word that famed Texan cinema the Alamo Drafthouse would replace cancelled screenings of “The Interview” with a free screening of the 2004 satire “Team America: World Police”.
Now, that plan has been cancelled as Paramount Pictures, the studio behind “Team America,” will not offer it for exhibition. In an official statement, a rep for Alamo Drafthouse said: “We can confirm that the screening of ‘Team America’ was canceled as the film was pulled from release. We are issuing refunds to those that purchased tickets.”
This all follows on from “The Interview” being yanked yesterday from release next week due to a terrorist threat.
