Christopher Kyle (“K-19: Widowmaker,” “Alexander”) is in negotiations to adapt Leigh Bardugo’s young adult fantasy novel “Shadow and Bone” into a feature for DreamWorks.
The first in a planned three-book series called the Grisha Trilogy, the novel follows a young woman must learn to control her newly discovered power in order to save her country from the Shadow Fold, a creature-filled darkness that threatens to overrun the land.
David Heyman (the “Harry Potter” film series) and Jeffrey Clifford will produce. DreamWorks scored the rights back in September.
