“Parks And Recreation” and “Moneyball” star Chris Pratt is in talks to play the lead role in Kathryn Bigelow’s new untitled action drama about the hunt for Osama bin Laden reports Twitchfilm.
Bigelow and her “The Hurt Locker” writer Mark Boal were developing the project, then titled “Kill Bin Laden”, when U.S. forces succeeded in killing the al-Qaeda leader. That lead to a massive leap in interest in the project, but also required extensive retooling of the script.
Earlier this year Joel Edgerton was attached but had to drop the film due to his schedule. Tom Hardy, Guy Pearce and Idris Elba have also been rumoured while Jason Clarke reportedly landed a supporting role in November.
Producers are now aiming to begin shooting in February.
