Chris Pratt Set For Universal’s “Real McCoy”

Universal has won a battle against Warner Bros. Pictures for the rights to the Chris Pratt pitch “The Real McCoy”.

Bill Dubuque (“The Judge”) penned the pitch with the studios aggressively bidding this week, Universal ultimately winning with a $1.5 million against $3 million deal.

The story centers on bootlegger Bill McCoy, whose life inspired the phrase “the real McCoy”. Tom McNulty, who will produce the film alongside Michael De Luca, came up with the idea which he took to Dubuque and Pratt.
