With everyone waxing nostalgic about the “Back to the Future” film series this month, the film’s stars Michael J. Foxand Christopher Lloyd have been conducting numerous interviews to commemorate this occasion, and of course the pair have been asked about the possibility of a sequel.
Lloyd tells THR that he’d be very happy to return to the role of Dr. Emmett Brown, but is very aware of how hard it would be to to achieve the success of the previous films:
“I would love to do Doc again, no question. [But] it’s tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three. So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original Back To The Future story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three. But it could be done, you never know.”
Meanwhile College Humor has done an animated reimagination of the ‘future’ set October 21st 2015 time period portrayed in “Back to the Future Part II”. Gone are the hover boards and flying cars, instead it explores the idea of what if Doc Brown and Marty landed in the real October 2015.
