Chris Columbus (“Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Percy Jackson”) is set to helm a remake of Korean feature “Hello Ghost” reports Variety.
The story follows a young man who starts seeing ghosts after a failed suicide attempt. Columbus, Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe will produce.
Columbus’ 1492 Pictures company acquired the remake rights from the original film’s financier Next Entertainment World. The company made a three-picture development deal back in 2009 with South Korea’s CJ Entertainment, this film is not a part of that arrangement.
