Chloe Moretz Is “Emily the Strange”

Chloe Moretz (“Kick Ass,” “Let Me In”) is attached to play the title role in a film adaptation of the Dark Horse comic “Emily The Strange” at Universal Pictures reports Deadline.

Created in the early 1990s by Rob Reger, the character originally appeared on stickers and clothing before moving to comic books in 2005 to expand the brand. The film will serve as the origin story of the gothic and odd young lady who owns four mysterious cats.

Mike Richardson is producing, though no writer or director is currently attached.
