Syfy has announced back-to-back premieres in December 14th for their high-profile mini-series adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke’s sci-fi classic “Childhood’s End” along with their new space series “The Expanse”.
The six-hour “Childhood’s End” event series will screen two episodes a night from 8-10pm on December 14th, 15th & 16th. Charles Dance, Mike Vogel, Daisy Betts, Yael Stone, Julian McMahon, Osy Ikhile and Colm Meaney star in the story of what happens after alien Overlords take over the Earth and promise to eliminate poverty, war and sickness.
“The Expanse” will kick off with a two-part premiere on December 14th and 15th at 10pm each night before sliding into its regular 10pm Tuesday slot from the following week. Based on Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck’s bestselling book series, the story is set in a now colonized solar system.
The story follows a hardened detective (Thomas Jane) and a rogue ship’s captain (Steven Strait) come together to find a missing young woman and end up in a race to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history.
